“HOW CAN I MAKE A DIFFERENCE AS AN HVA”

Making a difference here in our world seems like a big question to the mind. Most people think that when you make a difference you can be judged, laughed at, insulted or treated badly rather than given the opportunity to show off the good that it brings. So many people have passed through our lives that we have seen their courage to make one but why are we so afraid to make a difference in this world even though we know it's beautiful, good and beneficial. There is only one thing I think is the cause and that's the fear. Fear of being judged, talked about or even gossiped but one thing is for sure, either you make a difference or not, people will be people.
The fear of making a difference is like planting, if you do not try to plant and water, it will not grow. It can also be like cooking, if you don't taste it, you won't know it's delicious. And lastly, you cannot eliminate fear if you do not face it.
For me, being a nurse is a task that requires making a difference every single day. It demands us to do the best, to do things beyond our responsibility and to make every task different from the other. What do I mean about this? These are the things that even though we do every day, it has a different impact for other people or to the patients we encounter and serve. Little we know, we are making a difference in every single life we care for.

It is given that I, myself is a nurse by profession but the challenge here now is me as a healthcare virtual assistance. In the virtual world, it is very difficult to establish a good relationship especially when we do not really see the patients or people we are talking to but it just doesn't end there. I believe that in this new endeavor I am facing, I am definitely accepting the challenge to pour out more of my interpersonal skills, my capabilities to reach the people on the other side of the line, to break the barrier of telehealth practices and to make sure that I stride in every opportunity to serve with passion and integrity.
I can make a difference as a healthcare virtual assistance by doing every task that was given to me and will help in every way possible even if not requested with passion and integrity because I believe with what Bob Marley once said, “The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively”.
